COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Nov. 28, 2015) –
 Making up for a season-low six three-point field goals on Friday, the North Central College women's basketball team responded with 19 three-point field goals Saturday in a 123-70 rout of Colorado College, while shooting a season-high 46 percent from the field.
 
The Cardinals (2-3) finished the contest shooting 42-of-91 from the field, including 19-of-45 from three-point range, led by Miranda Grizaffi's career-high 21 points on 7-of-8 shooting from beyond the arch, tying the program's single-game record for made three-pointers.
 
Leading from the opening basket as a Therese Pettersson lay-in started the scoring just three seconds into the contest, while North Central opened up an early double-digit lead less than three minutes into the contest as a Michaela Reedy three-pointer gave the visitors a 14-4 advantage.
 
North Central steadily increased the lead over the remainder of the first quarter, closing out the first frame on a 10-2 run, highlighted by a long ball from Kimberly Wilson and another from Reedy to take a 32-12 lead after one quarter played.
 
Gradually increasing its lead over the second quarter, the Cardinals took its largest lead of the opening half just before the intermission, as a Jamie Cuny lay-up gave the visitors a 68-36 halftime lead.
 
The Cardinals continued to roll in the second half, topping the 100-point mark in the third quarter as North Central outscored the Tigers (1-5), 32-17 in the third quarter to open up a 100-53 lead.
 
North Central led by as many as 55 down the stretch en route to the 123-70 win, one point shy of the program's single-game record, led by Grizaffi's 21 points.  Cuny added her first double-double of the season, finishing with 17 points and 11 rebounds, while Mayson Whipple turned in her first career double-double, finishing with a career-high 17 points and 10 assists, to go along with a team-high five steals.  Reedy also finished in double-figures, chipping in a career-high 12 points on 3-of-7 shooting from three-point range.
