Manchester University, slipping to 1-2 on the young season, was stopped 85-48 by D3Hoops.com No. 10-ranked Calvin College Tuesday, Nov. 24.

The Knights capitalized on a tough evening for the home side in regards to ball-handling, recording 30 points off turnovers. MU managed to out-rebound Calvin 40-38 and shot 85.7 percent from the charity stripe as part of a tilt in which they started fast, leading 16-9 with less than five minutes to go in the opening period and 22-21 at the end of the frame.

Senior guard Kelcey Daugherty (Greenwood, Ind.) paced the Spartans with 12 points, three steals and three rebounds. Junior guard Jenifer Lee (Rockville, Ind.) made the most of her playing time coming off the bench for 29 minutes and adding seven points, five rebounds and three steals.

MU returns to the court Wednesday, Dec. 2, beginning the 2015-16 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference campaign at Defiance College of Ohio.
