Big Blue Women’s Basketball Rolls Past MacMurray

          The Millikin women's basketball went to 2-0 on the season defeating MacMurray College 68-43.

          Millikin dominated the entire game jumping out to a 16-2 advantage at the end of the first quarter.  Millikin forced MacMurray into making 27 turnovers and held the Highlanders to 28 percent from the field.  Millikin shot 35.5 percent from the field and won the rebounding battle 52-35.

          Millikin got a double double from Alyssa Saklak with 21 points and 14 rebounds.  Kelly Skorczewski came off the Big Blue bench to score nine points and grab five rebounds.  Emma Hoyer had eight points, four rebounds and four steals.

          Brianna Markusic led MacMurray with 18 points.

          Millikin will play its next five games on the road starting with the CCIW\SLIAC Challenge at Greenville College on November 20-21.  The Big Blue play Westminster on Friday at 1 p.m.
