WHEATON, Ill. – Dallas Chladek (Milwaukee, Wis./Pius XI) led three players in double-figures but the Wisconsin Lutheran College women's basketball team came up short against No. 14 Hope for the second straight season, 72-47, in a NCAA Tournament Second Round game Saturday night at King Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Hope started the game on an 8-0 run before Maggie Gartner (Springdale, Ark./Har-Ber) scored the first basket for the Warriors at the 15:57 mark. Wisconsin Lutheran never led in the contest.
• The Flying Dutch then used a 15-2 run to lead 26-7. WLC countered a 13-5 spurt to pull within 11 points, 31-20, with 2:24 remaining.
• Hope scored six straight points at the end of the half to lead at the break 37-20. Kristen Schulz (Stafford, Ariz./Arizona Lutheran) was held to just two points in the period.
• Wisconsin Lutheran got as close as 19 points with 17:47 remaining, but wouldn't pull any closer. The Flying Dutch led by a game-high 30 points with 11:25 left in the game.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE

• The Warriors shot 40 percent (16-for-40) for the game, compared to Hope's 48.1 percent (26-54). The Flying Dutch were 84.6 percent (11-for-13) from the line compared to 69.2 percent (9-for-13) for WLC. 
• Chladek had a career-high 14 points to lead the Warriors. Schulz used 12 points and 17 rebounds to extend her NCAA Division III record to 28 double-doubles on the season. Gartner also scored 12 points for WLC. 
• Wisconsin Lutheran and Hope were even on the glass 28-28, after WLC was out-rebounded 17-10 in the first half. The 28 total rebounds were the lowest recorded by the Warriors this season. 
• Hope scored 29 points off of 22 Warriors turnovers. 
• Mura McAfee had 19 points and seven boards to lead three Flying Dutch players in double-figures, who will face St. Thomas (29-0) in next weekend's sectional round. 
• WLC's senior class of Schulz, Gartner, Christel Frey (Milwaukee, Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran), and Bethany Unkefer(Phoenix, Ariz./Arizona Lutheran) finished their careers with a 97-17 overall record. 
• The Warriors wrap up the season 24-5 overall and 18-2 in NACC competition. This was the fifth consecutive season the Warriors amassed 24 or more wins and advanced to the NCAA Tournament.
