BABSON PARK, Mass.—Junior Linnett Graber (Roseland, N.J.) led four players in double figures with 20 points on 7-of-10 shooting, as Babson College rolled past visiting Salem State University, 95-53, in non-conference women's basketball action on Thursday night at Staake Gymnasium.

With its second straight win, Babson is now 17-7 overall, while Salem State drops to 4-20 on the year.

Graber, who finished just one point short of her season high, also pulled down five rebounds and dished out a game-high five assists for the Beavers. Senior Lindsey Roche (Arlington, Mass.) scored 15 points to go along with six boards and four assists, while sophomore Giovanna Pickering (Hull, Mass.) contributed 15 points, six rebounds and three assists. Junior Kristen Ferola (Amherst, Mass.) chipped in with 11 points on 5-of-6 shooting off the bench in the win.

Senior Rachael Carter (Merrimack, N.H.) led all players with 23 points and nine rebounds for the Vikings, while first-year Savannah Spinney (Everett, Mass.) finished with 10 points and nine boards.

After struggling over the first 12 minutes, Babson created some separation with a 15-0 run late in the opening half. Pickering gave the Beavers a 25-23 lead with a pair of free throws, and first-year Hannah Metcalf (Middlebury, Conn.) sandwiched a three-pointer and a mid-range jumper around a putback by classmate Brenna LeGacy (Attleboro, Mass.) to push the lead to 32-23. Another hoop by LeGacy and a pull-up jumper from Ferola made it 38-23 just 1:54 from halftime.

Two free throws by Graber gave the Green and White its biggest lead of the half at 40-24 with 42 seconds remaining, but Carter, who started just 1-of-6, converted a three-point play and then knocked down a trey in the closing seconds to get Salem State within 40-30 at the break.

The Beavers opened the second half with a 19-0 run and outscored Salem State 32-9 over the first 10 minutes of the period to put the game away. Sophomore Jennifer Narlee (Medfield, Mass.) had two blocked shots and a pair of steals, and Babson scored on its first five possessions of the stanza to take a 53-30 lead on a three-pointer by Graber at the 17:29 mark. Narlee found Pickering all alone underneath for a hoop, and Graber followed with consecutive baskets to push the Green and White's lead to 59-30 with 15:13 to play.

Babson, which connected on six three-pointers and shot 56.8 percent in the second half, got eight points from Roche as part of a 13-2 run to open its biggest lead of the game at 92-43 with 3:05 left in the contest.

The Beavers shot 51.5 percent (35-of-68) for the game and outscored the Vikings 50-18 in the paint. The Green and White also scored 27 points off turnovers and held a 50-36 advantage on the glass.

Salem State shot just 28.1 percent (18-of-64) and was just 4-of-14 from beyond the arc.

Both teams will wrap up the regular season on Saturday at 1 p.m. as Babson hosts Wheaton College, while the Vikings take on MCLA.
