AURORA, Ill. -- The 2014-15 season came to a close for Alverno College on Tuesday evening in Thornton Gymnasium as the Inferno fell to host Aurora University, 83-57.
Nyakok Duop and Mollie Mikyska scored 12 points apiece to lead Alverno, while Brooke McBain and K.D. Jonesadded eight each.
The host Spartans (8-17, 8-12 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference) got off to an early 12-2 lead and rolled to a NACC Tournament-clinching win over Alverno.
Shannon Koski led Aurora with a game-high 37 points on 6-of-8 shooting from the 3-point arc and Bethany Dorrington added 12.
Aurora shot 52 percent from the floor compared to Alverno's 38-percent mark, and made 12 3s opposed to the visitors' two.
The fifth-straight loss ends the Inferno's season at 5-20 overall, 3-17 in NACC play.
