Senior Brittany Berry buried six 3-pointers and totaled a game-high 24 points to lead the nationally ranked Hope College women's basketball team to an 88-55 win at Albion on Saturday.
The Flying Dutch raised their record to 19-2 overall and 11-1 in MIAA play.
Berry now has 63 3-pointers on the season and 207 in her Flying Dutch career.
The guard from Grand Rapids, Michigan (Catholic Central HS) is four 3s from passing Nicki Mannes' single-season school record from the 1993-94 season and 12 from surpassing Jordyn Boles' career mark from 2004-08.
Junior Maura McAfee of Midland, Michigan (Midland HS), recorded her 12th double-double of the season with 13 points and 11 rebounds. She also had four assists.
Freshman Madison Geers of Scottville, Michigan (Mason County Central HS), netted a career-high 10 points off the bench against Albion (11-10, 5-8 MIAA).
Hope never trailed.
The Flying Dutch scored the game's first eight points behind a McAfee layup and two Berry 3s and extended their lead to 55-19 by halftime.
Hope, ranked 12th in the USA Today Sports NCAA Division III coaches poll and 13th by d3hoops.com, returns to action on Wednesday, February 11, at Kalamazoo. Tipoff is 7:30 p.m.
