Three Roos Post Double-Doubles as Women’s Basketball Downs Fisher 75-57

Randolph Center, VT – Brianna Sayer (Hermon, NY), CaseyLynn Fulton (Saint Cloud, MN) and Tatiana Laroche (Elmont, NY) all posted double-doubles as the women's basketball team lead from start to finish in a 75-57 victory against Fisher College on Tuesday afternoon. The Roos (3-9) won their third straight game as the teams squared off at a neutral site location on the campus of Vermont Technical College.
 
SUNY Canton jumped out to a 13-point lead after 12 minutes of play. Sayer had a 5-0 mini run of her own to extend the Roo lead to 28-15 with 7:28 to play in the opening half. SUNY Canton would extend its lead to 43-24 at intermission as it shot at an impressive 50 percent clip (19-for-38) in the first 20 minutes.

Brianna Sayer, Caselynn Fulton and Tatiana Laroche all posted double-doubles on Tuesday.
 
The Roos would let the lead get no closer than 18 in the second half as they extended their advantage to as many as 27 after a made jumper by Fulton with 12:43 remaining.
 
Sayer led SUNY Canton with a game-high 23 ponts to go with 11 rebounds, four assists and three steals. Fulton added 12 points and 12 rebounds for her fourth consecutive double-double, while Laroche posted 12 points, 11 rebounds and four assists.
 
Karyss Terrance chipped in 14 points and seven rebounds, while Taylor Saltus (Clintonville, NY) and Logan Tallman(Heuvelton, NY) each tallied seven points. Saltus proved to be the floor general dishing out a game and season-best seven assists.
 
SUNY Canton had the upper hand in points in the paint (58-38), bench points (14-4) and points off turnovers (23-14). Shakieya Roland-Drak (18), Alexis Akridge (16) and Murphy Carroll (11) all posted double digit points for Fisher.
