Jan. 31, 2015 – In one of its most lopsided games of the season, the North Central College women's basketball team found itself on the wrong end of a top-25 matchup, falling to No. 16 Wheaton College, 109-60 as the Cardinal offense once again struggled from three-point range, posting a season-low shooting percentage from outside for the second straight game.

The 21st-ranked Cardinals (18-2, 7-2 College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin) finished just 6-of-44 from three-point range, shooting at a 14 percent clip, while the Thunder (18-2, 8-1 CCIW) ended 8-of-19, the first time the Cardinals have been out-shot from long range this season.

The Thunder also dominated on the glass all night, holding a 69-36 advantage in total rebounds while turning the tables on the top-ranked offensive rebounding team in the nation, grabbing 25 offensive boards to North Central's 14.

North Central never led in the contest, as Wheaton held a 17-11 advantage over six minutes into the opening half and over the next  four minutes would open up a 37-16 lead after a 20-5 rally, led by a pair of long balls from Chantal Meacham and a trio of easy lay-ins from Hannah Considine.

The Thunder opened up its largest lead of the first half right before the intermission, as Jennifer Berg put home a bucket down low to give the visitors a 62-31 lead at the half.  North Central was outrebounded 33-10 in the first half, including a 14-3 clip on the offensive glass.  Meacham finished the first half 5-of-7 from three-point range, while North Central was just 2-of-16 as a team.

The second half was much of the same woes for the Cardinal offense, as Wheaton opened up a 40-point lead halfway through the second half and led by as many as 51 down the stretch.

Corrine Rowe and Tess Godhardt each totaled 12 points to lead the Cardinal offense, while Mayson Whipple added 11 points off the bench.

Considine led all scorers with 26 points and 15 rebounds, while Moriah Reeves finished with 20 points.  Meacham added 18 points, finishing 6-of-9 from long range to go along with a game-high six assists.

North Central is back in action on Wednesday, Feb. 4, playing host to Augustana College with tip-off slated for 7 p.m.
