New York, NY- The Women's Basketball team fell to the Hunter College Hawks 71-28 earlier tonight. The Hawks improve to 4-8 overall and 2-3 CUNYAC, while the Cougars drop to 1-12 overall and 0-5 CUNYAC. 

Hunter led wire to wire. The Cougars shot 27.3% from the field and 66.7% from the free throw line. 

The Cougars were led by Sophomore Guard Ashley Desir with 10pts (4-16 FG-FGA and 2-2 FT-FTA). Ashley grabbed seven rebounds and dished out two assists. Sophomore Forward Kimonia Mullings grabbed a game high 10 rebounds. Hunter was led by Kristen Markoe with a game high 31pts. Kerrin Sells added 10pts. 

The Cougars will be back in action on Friday January. 9, 2015, when the City College of New York Beavers come to Medgar Evers College. Game time will be 6:00pm.
