Baruch Defeats John Jay (85-47) for Third Straight Win

The Baruch College Bearcats led from start to finish to record an 85-47 CUNYAC home win over the Bloodhounds of John Jay College of Criminal Justice on Tuesday night in the ARC Arena.

The Bearcats assisted on 29 of their 34 baskets and received double-figure scoring from six players for their third straight win.


Veronica Ganziscored 16 of her game-high 18 points in the first half. Iyana Abrams(seven assists, two steals) and Alicea Ulmer(13 rebounds) each scored 12 points.

Kristen Podlovitshad 11 points, including five more assists, while Vanessa Santanaand Francess Henry(eight rebounds) rounded out the high scorers with 10 points each.

Brianna Cunningham led the Bloodhounds with 14 points and nine rebounds.

The women's basketball team will resume action on Saturday, January 10, with a 1:00 pm CUNYAC contest in the ARC Arena against the Brooklyn College Bulldogs.
