EUREKA, Ill. (Dec. 30, 2014) – Tying the NCAA Division III mark for consecutive 100-point games, the North Central College women's basketball team cruised past Eureka College, 106-65 on Tuesday night to remain unbeaten this season, finishing 25 of 80 from three-point range, also a new Division III record for three-point attempts.

North Central's 80 three-point attempts breaks its own record set earlier this season in a 117-115 win over Millsaps College in double overtime on Nov. 22 in which the Cardinals totaled 72 three-point attempts.  The two teams also combined to shoot 101 three-pointers, shattering the old Division III record of 81.

The Cardinals (11-0) jumped out to a quick double-digit lead, taking a 16-6 lead less than four minutes into the contest highlighted by a pair of Jamie Cuny long balls.

Gradually increasing its lead over the remainder of the opening half, the Cardinals took its largest lead of the half with 1:18 to play as Anita Sterling knocked down one of North Central's 17 first half three-pointers, taking a 68-30 advantage.

The Red Devils (4-6) opened the second half with an 11-0 run, but the Cardinals quickly regained momentum as back-to-back long balls from Therese Pettersson and Mayson Whipple put the visitors up 82-50 with just over 12 minutes to play.

The Cardinal defense forced 41 turnovers on the evening, while only turning the ball over 17 times on offense, taking its largest lead on the final bucket of the contest.

Tess Godhardt paced the Cardinal offense with 17 points and five rebounds, while Cuny finished with 14 points and seven boards.  Maryssa Cladis added 13 points and six assists, while Callie Cook chipped in 10 points on 4 of 4 shooting from the field to go along with six rebounds off the bench.

Eureka's Kelsey Shoemaker led all scorers with 33 points on 15 of 28 shooting, while also grabbing 14 rebounds.
