Baruch Defeats York (93-52), Five Players Reach Double-Figure Scoring

The Baruch College Bearcats led from start to finish to record a 93-52 home win over the Cardinals of York College on Friday night in the ARC Arena.

The Bearcats scored 41 points off 33 turnovers by the visitors with five players reaching double-figure scoring.


Alicea Ulmer led the team with a double-double of 19 points and 12 rebounds, while Sheridan Taylor (eight rebounds) and Symone Green (six rebounds, two assists) finished with 15 points each. The 15 points by Green was a career-high.

Francess Henry (six rebounds, two steals) 11 points, Kristen Podlovits (3-5 3fg) 11 points, and Iyana Abrams (six steals) 10 points rounded out the high scorers in the final game before the final exam and holiday break.

Tamika Taylor had a big game for the Cardinals with 25 points (5-9 3fg), seven rebounds and five steals.

The Bearcats will next return to action on Sunday, December 28, at the Montclair State Tournament in Montclair, New Jersey.

They will play the tournament hosts and current No. 7 ranked Montclair State in a game scheduled for 5:30 pm.
