Women's Basketball routs Alverno, 82-52

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. -- The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women's basketball team had 12 players score in the Pioneers' 82-52 rout of Alverno on Bo Ryan Court on Saturday. 

The Pioneers totaled six players with seven or more points. Sophomore Elisa Bilderback scored a team-best 14 points off the bench. The Pioneer bench totaled 54 of their points. 

Alverno jumped out to a 12-6 lead before the Pioneers got on track, and tied it up 17-17 with 5:32 left in the half. UW-Platteville finished the final five minutes of the half on a 15-5 run, taking a 32-22 lead into the locker room. The Pioneers struggled shooting in the first half only making 2-16 three-pointers, while the Inferno went 4-10 from beyond the arc. 

UW-Platteville kept its momentum going in the second half and made it a 28-point game midway through the final half. The Pioneers made 6-10 from beyond the arc and shot 57 percent from the field in the second half.

UW-Platteville hosts Luther on Tuesday, Nov. 25 at 6 p.m.
