Millikin Women’s Basketball Wins Fifth Straight

          The Millikin women's basketball team cruised to its fifth straight victory defeating Robert Morris-Springfield 90-52 on December 3 at the Griswold Center in Decatur, Illinois.

          Millikin controlled the entire game building a 46-19 lead at halftime.  The Big Blue shot 54.5 percent from the field while holding Robert Morris to 34 percent.  Millikin won the battle on the boards 45-21. 

          Millikin had three players score in double figures led by junior Hannah Millington with a career high 22 points.  Millington added 10 rebounds for her first career double double.  Alyssa Saklak had 18 points, seven rebounds and three steals.  Kelsey Going had 14 points, six rebounds and three assists.  Sophomore Yip Ypya had nine points and freshman Devin Curry came off the bench to score eight points along with five rebounds and a team high four assists.

          Robert Morris-Springfield got 18 points from Brandi Bradley and 15 points from Laci Porter.

          Millikin now faces its next seven games on the road starting on Dec. 6 at Fontbonne University in St. Louis.  The Big Blue won't return home until January 10 against Elmhurst College.
