Trinity Women's Basketball Leads At Half But Falls Against Cortland State

Saratoga Springs, N.Y. - The SUNY Cortland Red Dragons outscored the Trinity College Bantams, 37-15, in the second half en route to a 68-48 victory in the Skidmore College Women's Basketball Classic this afternoon. Trinity falls to 1-1, while the Red Dragons improve to 2-0.

Trinity led, 33-31, at halftime, closing the first 20 minutes on a three-pointer by junior guard Christina Raiti (Plainview, N.Y.) with 1:37 on the clock. Cortland State scored the first nine points of the second stanza and led by as many as 24 points in the second half.

Trinity senior Taylor Higgins (Merrick, N.Y.) and sophomore Sheena Landy (Durham, Conn.) scored nine points apiece, while Landy added team-highs of six rebounds and three steals. Brittney Dumas and Kerry McHugh paced the Red Dragons with 12 points each.
