ASHLAND, Va. – The Randolph-Macon women's basketball team finished their regular season 20-5, 13-3 ODAC after posting a 96-56 win over Emory and Henry this afternoon in Crenshaw Gymnasium.

R-MC scored the first eight unanswered points of the contest before an 11-8 EHC run would bring the Wasps within five. Taylor Huber (Ashland, VA / Patrick Henry) and Katie Anderson (Beaverdam, VA / Patrick Henry) led the early surge with a combined 23 points for the Yellow Jackets in a first period. A free throw made by Huber just before the half gave R-MC the 10 point advantage (44-34) going into intermission. Huber finished the day with a game-high 23 points alongside Anderson who tallied 19 points, one block, and six rebounds.

The Jackets continued their momentum in the second stanza shooting 19-of-36 (52.8%) and a perfect 10-of-10 from the line. Sarah Parsons (Glen Allen, VA / J.R. Tucker) recorded 16 points on the day with two assists, three steals, and a team-high seven rebounds. Senior forward Paige Mills (Winchester, VA / Sherando) finished her Senior Day performance with five rebounds, one assist, and three blocks.

The Randolph-Macon women's basketball team clinched the second seed in the 2013-14 ODAC Tournament set to begin next Thursday, February 27 in Salem, VA. Updates on game times and pairings soon to follow.
