UST women slide out of conference lead

No. 16-ranked St. Thomas was outscored 21-0 from 3-point range in Saturday's 60-57 road loss to Concordia-Moorhead in MIAC women's basketball play in Moorhead.

The Tommies (19-4 overall, 17-3 MIAC) dropped into a second-place tie with Concordia with the loss. St. Mary's won in overtime at Gustavus and leads by one game with two remaining.

UST went 0-for-12 from 3-point range while the winners made 7-of-16.

Alley Fisher scored a game-high 19 points for the Cobbers (19-4, 17-3), who swept the regular-season series vs. the Tommies. Greta Walsh scored all 11 of her points in the second half for Concordia.

UST's Kelly Brandenburg scored 14 points, Taylor Young scored 12 points, and Jenna Dockter scored 11 in her first game of the season.

The Toms led 31-26 at halftime but fell behind by nine points in the final 6:00. The Toms missed their last five shots in the final 1:10.
