The Mules (7-15, 1-7) connected on 12-27 three-pointers, while holding the Panthers to only 2-16 from long distance. Middlebury (7-13, 1-6) returns to action on Sunday hosting Bowdoin, while Colby heads to Tufts on Valentine's Day.

After the Panthers jumped out to a quick 4-0 lead on buckets from Scarlett Kirk and Sarah Marcus, Colby cut it to 4-3 on a three from Carylanne Wolfington at 18:57. Just over a minute later Wolfington hit another three, giving the visitors their first lead at 7-6. The Colby lead stayed within two possessions for the remainder of the half despite the sharpshooting of Wolfington, who netted 18 of her game-high 26 points in the first half.

In the final minute of the half, Kirk's lay-up cut the Mules lead to 35-31 before Mia Diplock sank a pair of free throws for Colby, capping the first half scoring. Diplock finished the first half with 12 points, while Kirk netted nine points and grabbed eight rebounds for Middlebury.

In the decisive 15-4 run to open the second half, Wolfington and Diplock each netted five points for Colby as Brooke Chandor capped the run at 13:59, giving the visitors a 52-35 lead. The advantage grew to 18 points on a three from Diplock at 6:34 before Middlebury put a quick 6-0 run together, cutting the deficit to 67-55 with 5:32 left to play. That would be as close as the Panthers would get as Colby countered with a 7-0 run and cruised to a 79-61 NESCAC road win.

Wolfington finished with 26 points on 10-19 shooting, including 5-10 from behind the arc. Diplock netted 24 points on 7-16 shooting, while Chandor added a dozen points for Colby.
