More news about: St. John Fisher

The St. John Fisher College women's basketball squad fell 73-61 against Stevens Institute in Hoboken, NJ Saturday halting a four-game win streak.

The Cardinals drop to 12-7 overall and 5-4 in Empire 8 play while Stevens now owns an identical record.

Fisher jumped out to an early 6-0 advantage.  However the Ducks took a 13-11 lead seven minutes into the contest and would not surrender the lead the rest of the game.

In the second half, Stevens seized control early on mounting a 12-point advantage, 49-37.

Fisher however slowly chipped away at the Ducks lead, cutting the deficit to 52-48 at the 12:38 mark.  Mary Kate Cusack poured in seven points for Fisher during that run but that is as close as the Cardinals would come the rest of the game.
