New York, NY --- The Brooklyn College Women's Basketball team had its three-game winning streak snapped on Monday evening at the ARC Arena, as the Bulldogs fell to the Bearcats of Baruch College, 56-38, in City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) action.

Brooklyn drops to 15-6 overall on the season and 8-4 in the CUNYAC; while Baruch moves to 15-6 overall on the year and 11-2 in conference play.

The win gives Baruch the season sweep over Brooklyn, as the Bearcats defeated the Bulldogs, 57-44, back on January 7th at the West Quad Center.

The Bulldogs were held to a season-low 38 points in the loss, as Brooklyn struggled offensively, shooting just 20.3% (15-for-74) from the field and 5.6% (1-for-18) from three. The visitors also struggled from the charity stripe, going 7-for-19 (36.8%) from the line.

The Bearcats' offense also struggled to get going, shooting 32.9% (23-for-70) from the field and 8.3% (1-for-12) from beyond the arc. Baruch also shot an even 50.0% (9-for-18) from the free throw line.

Junior Nacirema Mann recorded her second straight double-double, third overall this season, with a team-high 14 points, to go along with a game and season-best 14 rebounds coming off the bench. Reigning CUNYAC Player of the Week, senior Megan Campbell added eight points and eight rebounds. Junior Asia Foster pulled down nine rebounds.

For Baruch, Iyana Abrams led all scorers with a game-high 18 points, to go with nine rebounds, while Alicea Ulmer chipped in with 11 points and eight rebounds. Francess Henry grabbed a team-high 10 rebounds, to go with nine points.

Baruch led wire-to-wire as the Bearcats never trailed in the game scoring the first seven points in the game. After an Ulmer basket gave the home team an eight point lead, 11-3, Brooklyn rattled off seven straight points to get to within one, 11-10, midway through the opening half. Mann scored five of the seven points to spark the run.

Mann would later get Brooklyn back to within one again at 13-12; however, the Bearcats would use 9-0 run to go up double figures, 22-12. Baruch would eventually take an eight-point halftime lead, 28-20.

The second half started out similarly to the first, as Baruch raced off to an 11-0 run to balloon its lead to 19, 39-20, with 16:00 left on the clock. A three-pointer from junior Zoe Randolph at the 14:47 mark ended the Brooklyn scoring drought. The Bearcats would lead by double figures the rest of the way, as Baruch cruised to its 56-38 win.

Brooklyn will look to get back into the win column when the Bulldogs travel to the Hunter College Sportsplex to take on the Hawks in another key CUNYAC matchup this Friday, February 7th. The game is scheduled for a 6:30 pm tip. Live stats will be available for the game. The match-up will feature two of the top four teams in the CUNYAC, as Brooklyn currently sits one game ahead of Hunter in the league standings.

The Bulldogs will look to sweep the Hawks, as Brooklyn defeated Hunter, 61-55, back on January 15th at the West Quad Center.
