CASTINE, Maine -- Maine Maritime won its seventh-straight game with a 102-24 win over Green Mountain in a North Atlantic Conference women's basketball game Friday. The Mariners improved to 10-6 overall, 8-2 NAC, while the Eagles dropped to 1-14, 0-11.
The game marked the second time in program history that the Mariners hit triple digits. Maine Maritime scored 113 points against SUNY Maritime in 2006.
Four players reached double figures for Maine Maritime led by Cheyenne Malloy's game-high 16. Bekah Campbell and Ashley Shine each netted 15 and Rachael Redles chipped in with 10. Leah Jackson had a game-high nine rebounds and Jillian Perron posted a game-high assists and also grabbed eight boards.
Torie Cowell paced the Eagles with 11 points and Virginia Anderson grabbed nine rebounds.
The Mariners, who sit in second place in the conference, take on No. 1 Castleton Saturday at 1 p.m.
