HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. – Centenary College was held to 31 percent shooting (15-48) during a 66-48 Colonial States Athletic Conference women's basketball loss to Cabrini at the John M. Reeves Student Recreation Center on Saturday.
The Cavaliers (14-4, 8-1 CSAC) stormed out to an 8-0 lead and expanded their edge to 16 at the midway point of the first half. The Cyclones (6-11, 4-4 CSAC) made just 4-of-20 field goal attempts during the opening 20 minutes and headed into intermission trailing 36-16.
Cabrini's lead quickly reached 25 points just three minutes into the second half and did not dip below 20 until the final minutes of the game.
Freshman forward Mallory George (Berkeley Heights, N.J./Governor Livingston) produced her sixth double-double, tallying 18 points on 6-of-11 shooting and grabbing 10 boards.
Senior Klarissa Perry (Englewood, N.J./Dwight Morrow) chipped in with 13 points and six rebounds, while freshman forward Kelsey Barofski (White Township, N.J./Belvidere) added seven points.
Brittany Sandone connected on four three-pointers and led all scorers with 20 points. Annie Rivituso contributed six points and nine boards, while Amber Keys recorded 11 points and seven rebounds.
The Cyclones committed 22 turnovers which Cabrini turned into 17 points. The Cavaliers received 25 points from their bench and made 20-of-24 free throw attempts.
Centenary looks to bounce back on Wednesday when it hosts Marywood at 7:00 pm.
