Four players in double figures by University of the Ozarks overshadowed the career night of LeTourneau women's basketball senior Ashley Fajardo in a 77-64 win by the host Eagles over the YellowJackets on Thursday night in Clarksville, Arkansas.

The Mission Viejo, California native hit six 3 pointers in the defeat for the YellowJackets. The last time that LeTourneau had an individual hit six in a game was when Judith Guerrero connected on six against East Texas Baptist on February 19, 2008.

The YellowJackets (4-4, 2-3 ASC) were led by Fajardo, who scored a game-high 22 points in the defeat. She was joined in double digits in the loss by senior Julencia Curtis, who nearly had a double double with 16 points and nine rebounds.

The Eagles (2-6, 1-4 ASC) had balanced scoring with Ashley Hipps leading the way with 16. She was joined in double figures by reserves RaShelle Goodman and Bryanna Moltz, who added 14 and 11 points, respectively.
The fourth member of Ozarks in double figures was Kindra Davis, who had a double double with 11 points and 10 rebounds.

LeTourneau held an early 4-3 advantage after two free throws by sophomore Kayla Shorter with 16:20 to go in the first 20 minutes before an 8-0 spurt by the host Eagles put them in front for the rest of the contest.
The closest the YellowJackets would get is two points, twice, in the opening 20 minutes.

The unselfish YellowJackets had 20 assists on 23 field goals with Curtis handing out a game-high five assists for LeTourneau. A resilient LeTourneau squad cut the deficit to six on a pair of occasions in the final 20 minutes; however, the Eagles kept the YellowJackets from getting any closer. University of the Ozarks shot 50% from the field in the game including a 57.1% clip in the first half.

The YellowJackets will now be idle until January 2, 2014 when they host Concordia University at Solheim Arena at 5:30 p.m.
