La Plume, PA – Keystone College's women's basketball team snapped a three-game losing steak in a big way on Saturday afternoon, knocking off defending Colonial States Athletic Conference champion Cabrini College 64-55 to deal the Cavaliers their first conference loss since January 28, 2012.  The Giants secure their third straight season of double-digit wins while moving to 10-5 overall and 4-2 in league play while Cabrini, who had a four-game winning streak snapped, sees their record drop to 12-4 on the season and 6-1 in the CSAC.

Keystone jumped out to a 9-2 lead over the first three minutes of Saturday afternoon's contest thanks in part to a pair of three pointers by Alyssa Cuomo (Odessa, DE/Hodgson Vo-tech).  Cabrini would chip away at the host's lead and take a 13-12 lead at the 11:52 mark.  The two teams swapped the lead three times over the next three minutes with the Cavaliers claiming a 17-16 advantage with 8:49 remaining.  Cabrini accounted for the game's only five points over the next 5:23 to hold a 24-17 lead with 2:36 left in the first half.  The Giants would close the half on a 9-3 run to narrow their deficit to 27-26 at halftime.

Jerica Rode (Lords Valley, PA/Wallenpaupack) scored the first four points of the second half to give Keystone a 30-27 lead before Cabrini came back to tie the contest.  The score would be tied six time while staying within a single possession either way over the first 10 minutes of the second half.  Tied at 45-45 with 9:51 remaining, AAliyah Hayes scored on a layup to start a 7-0 run by the hosts that gave Keystone a 52-45 lead with 7:44 remaining.

Cabrini narrowed their deficit to 53-50 with 5:21 to play before Robinson followed up on a pair of made free throws by Rode to push the Giants back to seven points with 4:32 left on the clock.  The Cavaliers then rattled off five straight points to cut Keystone's lead to two points with 1:52 remaining, but the Giants scored the final seven points of the game to pull out the nine-point victory

Cuomo and Chantel Blake (Piscataway, NJ/Piscataway) tied for the Keystone team-lead with 12 points apiece with Blake pulling down a game high 11 rebounds.  Jerica Rode (Lords Valley, PA/Wallenpaupack) added 11 points and five blocks while Robinson finished the game with seven points, 10 boards, and five rebounds.  Ashley Evans (Wooster, OH/Wooster) chipped in nine points and eight rebounds for the Giants, who held a 52-50 advantage on the glass for the contest.
