PASADENA, CA - Despite recording a season high shooting percentage, the Caltech women's basketball team fell short against Webster 84-64 on Saturday afternoon.

The Beavers nailed 44.2 percent (23-of-52) of their field goal attempts but couldn't overcome their 24 turnovers. Webster's offense took advantage of those turnovers as they converted them into 36 points.

A solid low post game also played a significant role in the Gorlock win. They grabbed 21 offensive rebounds which they converted in 21 second chance points. The visitors also held a 50-16 edge in points in the paint.

The Gorlok used a defensive press early in gaining momentum and never looking back. Webster scored the game's first nine points and eventually took an 18-8 lead less than seven minutes into the game. The Gorlok never let Caltech within single digits the rest of the game.

Courtney Pursley tallied a double-double in 25 minutes to pace the Webster attack as the senior posted game highs in points (20) and rebounds (12). Brittany Harris-Conway went 9-for-12 from the floor en route to an 18-point effort.

Stephanie Wong scored a personal season high 17 points to lead the Caltech offense.
