R-MC Fall 76-74 in Tightest Game of the Season

More news about: Randolph-Macon

LYNCHBURG, Va.—Taylor Huber (Ashland, VA / Patrick Henry) had another double-digit game, putting up 32 points as the R-MC women's basketball team fell 76-74 against Lynchburg College this evening. The Yellow Jackets slipped to 3-1 in the ODAC following the loss.

In a game where the scoring margin never exceeded seven points, the contest proved to be the Jackets' closest match of the season. R-MC was 13-32 from the field during the first period, taking the 38-37 lead into the half. The second half favored the Hornets shooting 10-10 from the stripe as R-MC out-fouled LC 12-9. The Yellow Jackets would not waiver, however; as Huber recorded five three-pointers alongside Khajae Hester (VA Beach, VA / Cape Henry Collegiate) who nabbed 12 points and four assists.

The final three-point attempt was a three-quarter court shot by Huber. If not for the two prior Hornet free throws, the game would have been forced into overtime.

The Randolph-Macon Women's Basketball team looks to improve Tuesday, January 14th as they host Randolph College for a 7:00 PM conference matchup.
