NORTON, Mass.—Sophomore Linnett Graber (Roseland, N.J.) scored a game-high 16 points, while first-year Jennifer Narlee (Medfield, Mass.) produced her first career double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds as Babson College rolled past 22nd-ranked Wheaton College, 70-53, in New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) women's basketball action on Saturday afternoon.

With its third straight win, Babson is now 5-7 overall and 5-3 in the league, while Wheaton has dropped two straight games to fall to 12-2 overall and 7-2 in conference play.

Sophomore Kristen Ferola (Amherst, Mass.) chipped in with 11 points and five rebounds, and senior Erin Young (Westwood, Mass.) netted nine points for the Beavers, who trailed only once in the early moments of the game.

Junior Abbie Brickley (Sandy, Utah) scored 16 points and pulled down nine boards for the Lyons, who shot just 32.1 percent (18-for-56) and committed 23 turnovers.

Leading by five with 7:20 left in the first half, Babson used a 12-2 spurt to take its biggest lead of the opening stanza just 3:08 before halftime. Graber started the run with a free throw and Ferola made a layup before junior Lindsey Roche (Arlington, Mass.) scored seven of the Green and White's next nine points to build a 33-18 lead.

The Beavers had five players score five points or more in the opening half, and got 18 points from its reserves to build a 37-29 lead going to the locker room. The Green and White also grabbed 11 first-half offensive rebounds and outscored Wheaton 15-4 in transition.

Leading 47-40 with 15:21 to go in the game following a Brickley layup, Babson put the game away with a 21-6 run over the next 11:40. Graber scored seven points during the run, while Ferola and first-year Giovanna Pickering (Hull, Mass.) each added four apiece. The Beavers defense was suffocating during the decisive stretch, holding the Lyons to just two field goals while forcing eight turnovers on their way to building a 68-46 edge with under four minutes remaining.

The Green and White tied its season high with seven three-pointers and outscored Wheaton, 28-20, in the paint. The Beavers also scored 17 points off turnovers and held a 48-38 advantage on the glass.

Both teams return to action on Wednesday as Babson visits MIT in an 8 p.m. start, while Wheaton travels to Wellesley for a 7 p.m. tipoff.
