The Millikin women's basketball team defeated Fontbonne University 63-45 on Dec. 21 at Griswold Center in Decatur, Ill.

            Millikin led the entire game and went into halftime with a 41-26 advantage.  The Big Blue shot 37 percent on the game while holding the Griffins to 26 percent from the field.  Millikin out rebounded Fontbonne 45-33.  The Big Blue forced the Griffins into 27 turnovers while committing 19 of its own.

            Millikin's top scorer was Brittany Czaplicki with 11 points and seven rebounds.  Alyssa Saklak added 10 points, six rebounds and three steals.  Jasmine Johnson had a team high 10 rebounds along with six points and four blocked shots.

            Olivia Hallander was Fontbonne's top scorer and rebounder with 10 points and seven rebounds.

            Millikin has won two straight and is now 5-4 on the season.  Fontbonne falls to 3-6.  The Big Blue will be back in action at home on Dec. 28 hosting Edgewood College at 2 p.m.
