Arlington, Va. – Marymount University's women's basketball team fell to 3rd-ranked Montclair State 71-47 in non-conference action on Sunday afternoon.  With the loss, the Saints fall to 5-3 on the season.

Amanda Wolfe paced the Blue and White with 11 points in the effort while Aileen Maknati chipped in 10. Kievanna Lacey and Daja Belt also netted seven points apiece.

Montclair State (7-1) started the game with a 7-0 run and would keep Marymount at arm's length the rest of the way.  The Saints pulled within three in the first half, but could not surmount the Red Hawk defense or the deficit.

Melissa Tobie posted a double-double for the Red Hawks, netting 16 points and hauling in 13 rebounds.

Marymount returns to action on Wednesday as it hosts Shenandoah.  Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. and fans can follow the action live by logging on to www.marymount.edu/athletics/wBasketball and selecting the "live stats" and "live video" links.
