SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico – Albion College rallied from a 15-point halftime deficit to take a lead in the final minute, but the Britons were not able to stay in front and it walked off the court with a 68-65 loss to Widener (Pa.) University.

Down 37-22 at halftime, Albion rallied to take a 65-63 lead. Widener senior Jen Egee knocked down a 3-point shot with 45 seconds left to put the Pride on top by a point.

Albion failed to score on its next possession, forcing the Britons to foul Egee with 14 seconds left. Egee made both free throws to finish the game leading all players with 28 points.

Brett de Bear led Albion with 23 points and Mikaela Bromley scored 11 for the second consecutive game.

"We had a great second half," Albion coach Doreen Carden said. "We need to play two halves.  I'm proud that we fought back but we got down too much early against a good team."
