The second half began with both sides exchanging baskets, but St. Joseph's eventually maintained command. Up nine with 3:21 to go, the Bears appeared poised to collect their sixth victory of the season, but an 11-2 run—capped off by a three-pointer by DeAndra Scott with 40 seconds remaining—ensured that the two sides would head to overtime tied at 68.
