The Millikin University women's basketball team lost to number one ranked DePauw University 63-45 at the Centre College Classic on Nov. 22 in Danville, Ky.

          The defending NCAA National Champion Tigers jump out to an early lead on the Big Blue scoring the first seven points and building a 21-2 advantage.  DePauw had a 35-13 lead at halftime.  Millikin played DePauw even in the second half, but couldn't overcome the first half deficit.

          DePauw shot 39 percent from the field and the Big Blue hit 37 percent, but the Tigers had 17 more shot attempts.  DePauw out rebounded Millikin 39-29.

          Millikin's top scorer was Holly Haskins with 12 points.  Bria Williams and Yip Ypya each had a team high five rebounds.

          DePauw's top scorer was Savannah Trees with 19 points.

          Millikin will face Maryville College (Tenn.) on Saturday at Noon.  Maryville lost to Centre College 55-53 in Friday's other tournament action.
