Two Britons Achieve Career Scoring Highs

ANDERSON, Ind. – Brett de Bear scored a career-high 32 and Darian Payne produced her fifth career double-double with a career-high 17 points and 12 rebounds in Albion College's 92-78 loss to Lindenwood (Ill.) on the opening night of the Anderson University Tip-Off Classic.

de Bear and Payne combined to shoot 16-of-26 from the field, but the rest of the team went 10-of-32.

There were 10 lead changes in the first half. Albion led by as many as five on three occasions. The Britons settled for a 39-38 lead at halftime.

The score was tied at 46 with 15 minutes to play when Lindenwood pulled away with a 35-11 run. Shelby Kohrman buried a 3-point field goal as the Lynx forged a 81-54 lead with less than eight minutes remaining.

Albion will return to Anderson's O.C. Lewis Gymnasium Sunday for a game against the host Ravens.
