VIRGINIA BEACH -- It was only appropriate that one Senior Night the lone Virginia Wesleyan College would score the Marlins' first five points and assist on the sixth and seventh to help propel the host team to a decisive 77-31 victory over the Wasps of Emory & Henry College on Saturday at the Jane P. Batten Student Center. The victory improved VWC's overall record to 17-8 and its Old Dominion Athletic Conference mark to 12-4 and secured the third seed for the Marlins in the championship tournament. The Marlins will begin their play in the tournament on Thursday, Feb. 21, at 8 p.m. in the Civic Center in Salem, Virginia, against the winner of first-round game between 11th seeded Hollins University and sixth seeded Shenandoah University.
