(www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) -The SUNY College at Old Westbury held an 11-point margin at the half and went on to win a 70-57 Skyline Conference affair over the visiting St. Joseph's-L.I. Golden Eagles on Play 4Kay Senior Day from the Clark Athletic Center on Tuesday evening.  Old Westbury (15-9) improves to 9-4 in conference play while St. Joseph's-L.I. (12-11) fell to 6-6.

Raven Pentz opened the game with back-to-back layups to put Old Westbury up by four points early.  Amanda Bender and Laura Cohen answered for St. Joseph's-L.I. to knot the game at 4-all.  After Old Westbury led by seven points, Christina Cohen's layup with 8:01 sliced the deficit to one.  Old Westbury created separation with a 14-3 run from 7:52 to 3:32 to go up by 12 and held a 35-24 lead at the break. 

Old Westbury committed 10 turnovers in the opening 6:15 of the second-half as St. Joseph's-L.I. used a 16-3 run to jump ahead 40-38.  DeAndra Scott ignited a 15-2 Panther run to put Old Westbury back up 53-43 with 9:52 showing on the second-half clock.  Bender's layup with 9:16 left made it an eight point game before Clairssa Gallagher's three-pointer sparked a 13-2 run from 7:55 to 3:58, giving Old Westbury 19-point cushion, their largest lead of the game.  St. Joseph's-L.I. closed out the game on a 10-4 run.

Old Westbury's DeAndra Scott combined 19 points and 12 rebounds to post her 13th double-double of the season.  Raven Pentz poured in a career-high 18 points and Abigail Williams and Clarissa Gallagher each scored nine.  Antoinette Jolly registered her fifth career double-double, finishing with 13 rebounds, 12 assists (career-high), eight points and three steals.  Seniors Jolly, Williams and Brittany Mitchell combined for 17 points, 20 rebounds, 17 assists and six steals. 

Amanda Bender led St. Joseph's-L.I. with 23 points (8-25 FG), 14 rebounds and two blocks.  Laura Cohen followed with 13 points and Danielle Hamlin added seven points and 10 rebounds. 

Old Westbury shot 37 percent from the field (30-81), 40 percent from three-point territory (6-15) and 40 percent from the free-throw line (4-10).  St. Joseph's-L.I. hit 30.9 percent from the field (21-68), 14.8 percent from beyond the arc (4-27) and 55 percent from the charity stripe (11-20).  Old Westbury won the boards battle, 56-40, scoring just seven points off 24 offensive rebounds.  St. Joseph's-L.I. converted 28 Panther miscues into 24 points. 

REGULAR SEASON FINALE AT SAGE GATORS UP NEXT FOR THE PANTHERS:  Old Westbury returns to action on Saturday (Feb. 16) for their regular season finale on the road against the Sage Gators from the Kahl Campus Center.  Tip-off is slated for 1 p.m. in Troy, New York.
