Arlington, Va. – Marymount University's women's basketball team returned to its winning ways with a 64-52 victory over visiting Richard Stockton in non-conference action on Monday night. The Saints improve to 12-4 on the season and have won eight of their last nine games.

Katelyn Fischer led the Saints with a game-high 23 points while adding six assists and four steals. She went 8-for-12 from the floor, including 4-for-8 from three-point range, and was perfect from the free throw line.

Tynisha Parks recorded her fifth double-double of the season for the Blue and White. She scored 16 points to go with a game-best 12 rebounds while also recording four steals.

A slow start to the game saw Stockton (8-5) hold a 4-2 lead almost six minutes into the opening half. A three-pointer at the 14:02 mark from Fischer kicked off a 10-0 run and gave the Saints their first lead of the game, one they wouldn't relinquish. Marymount led by as many as 11 in the stanza before taking a 29-19 lead into the break on a last second tip-in from Parks.

Coming out of halftime, Marymount held a steady lead early before the Ospreys began to mount a comeback. Stockton would pull within three down 34-31 at the 13:08 mark but an 8-1 run over the next two minutes gave the Saints another double-digit lead.

The Ospreys managed one last late push, cutting the MU lead to just four at 51-47 with 4:47 to play. Marymount responded with a 10-0 run over the next two minutes to take its largest lead of the contest and put the game away.

Sara Farrell led Stockton with 14 points.
