FREDERICK, Md.--The Hood College women's basketball team (5-17, 3-12 Commonwealth) fell to the visiting Albright College Lions (10-12, 6-9 Commonwealth), 60-47, in a Commonwealth Conference contest at BB&T Arena Wednesday evening.

Albright's freshman sensation Kelecia Harris finished with game-highs of 26 points and 20 rebounds to lead the Lions to their sixth conference win of the season. Hood's Dyanna Prater was the only Blazer to reach double figures with 13 points to go along with six rebounds.

Points were at a premium in the opening half but Hood was able to mount a nine-point advantage, 16-7, after a triple by Emily Maerz with 6:26 remaining. But the Lions outscored the Blazers 16-4 the rest of the stanza and clung to a 23-20 lead at intermission.

Hood knocked down four of its first five shots to start the second half and retook a six-point edge, 29-23, just 2:50 into the period. Hood would stay on top until midway through the half when the Blazers endured a dry spell of 7:14 without a field goal. During that stretch, Harris netted 12 points in a 21-1 Albright run which sealed the Blazers' fate.

Olivia Hosch chipped in eight points, five rebounds and three steals for Hood while Maerz finished with eight points and seven boards. Rachel Wiley hauled in a team-high eight rebounds to go along with six points, three assists and a pair of steals. Verkia Smith drained a three-pointer and had three assists and three steals.

Hood hosts another Commonwealth opponent Saturday when the Blazers entertain the Elizabethtown College Blue Jays at 1 p.m. at BB&T Arena.
