The Anchorwomen used a stifling defense in the first half, jumping out to an 11-0 lead while holding PSU off the scoreboard for the first six minutes. Despite the slow start, PSU was down only 11-4 midway through the frame, but RIC rattled off 11 more unanswered points to open up a 22-4 margin. |

The visitors went on to lead 38-9 at the break as PSU managed to make just 2-of-22 shots from the field in the first half while RIC converted 57 percent (15-of-26). |

Plymouth State did not give up in the second half and hung tough against the big deficit. The Panthers were outscored by their opponents by just one point (17-16) in the first 14 minutes after the intermission but couldn't dig out of the first-half hole. |
