Brooklyn, NY- The Medgar Evers College Women's Basketball Cougars fell to the York College Lady Cardinals 64-21 on Wednesday January 16, 2013. York improved to 1-14 Overall and 1-6 CUNYAC while the Cougars dropped to 0-16 Overall and 0-7 CUNYAC.

The Cougars had trouble scoring tonight. York gave the Cougars headaches, and not letting them take an easy shot.

In the loss, Medgar Evers College was led by Junior Guard Wanda Winslow with 13pts (3-6 FT-FTA). Winslow grabbed a rebound, tallied an assist, and 2 steals. Freshman Guard Nia Tompkins grabbed a team high 10 rebounds.  

York was led by Ishonda McFarland with 19pts and Angelika Ruggiano with 12pts.

Medgar Evers College will be back in action on Friday January 18, 2013, when they play the Baruch College Bearcats. Game time is 6pm and can be seen live on http://ustream.tv/channel/mecathletics.
