FARMINGTON, Maine – Husson University's Stephanie Comstock led all scorers with 22 points to lead the Eagles to a 65-63 overtime win over the University of Maine at Farmington, in North Atlantic Conference women's basketball action Thursday night at Dearborn Gym.

Comstock completed the double-double with a game high 14 rebounds. Kelli Murray and Victoria McIntyre added 12 each for Husson (5-9, 5-4 NAC).

Lindsay Ranquist (Owls Head, Maine/Medomak Valley) paced UMaine-Farmington (5-9, 5-4 NAC) with 13 points, while Kenni Norton (Strong, Maine/Mt. Abram) chipped in with 12.

UMF's Norton drained a 3-pointer with nine seconds remaining in regulation to tie the game and force overtime. In the extra session, Husson went 3-of-6 from the field and converted a pair of foul shots, while the Beavers were just 1-of-5 from the floor.

In a second half that featured seven ties and nine lead changes, only once was either team able to build a two-possession lead – that occurring at the 5:41 mark following a pair of Ranquist foul shots to give the Beavers a 48-44 lead.

But Husson chipped away at the UMaine-Farmington, eventually overtaking the Beavers on McIntyre's traditional three-point play with 2:26 remaining. The teams traded the lead again over the next minute, setting the stage for Norton's game-tying 3-pointer.

UMaine-Farmington heads to Castine, Maine, on Saturday to play Maine Maritime Academy, while Husson will host Thomas College.
