BRONX, N.Y. – What a statement game from freshman Bria Fisher. Fresh off winning her third City University of New York Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week honor, Fisher posted a career-high 20 rebounds (nine offensive) and 18 points as the City College of New York (3-10, 3-4 CUNYAC) controlled the game from the tip-off to defeat Lehman College (1-13, 0-5 CUNYAC), 61-34, on Saturday afternoon at the APEX on the campus of the Lightning.
The Beavers finished with a season-high 66 rebounds and outrebounded the Lightning by 28 while dishing out 17 assists and the victory marked the first time City College won multiple games in a row. CCNY's defense stifled Lehman all afternoon, holding the Lightning to 20 percent shooting from the field.

Taylor Pompilio reached double figures for the first time in her career with 10 points while Giovanna Blanco pulled down 12 rebounds, tying her career-high and marking the third time in four games that the forward reaches double figures in rebounds.
The Beavers led 24-18 at the half but came out on a 12-2 run to begin the second half to run away with the CUNYAC contest.
