Potsdam claimed the early advantage when junior guard Hannah Kmiecinski drained a three-point basket at the 18:18 mark. St. Lawrence stormed back to tie the game at 18 all with 4:50 left in the half. The Saints continued on their hot streak with a late 10-0 run. Senior guard Katy Briedis stopped the bleeding at the 1:14 mark with a good free throw. St. Lawrence closed out the first half on top, 30-21.

Both teams battled back-and-forth in the early stages of the second half. Briedis was able to generate some offense when she slashed to the basket to cut the lead to five at the 16:55 mark. St. Lawrence's Allison Cady increased the Saints lead to 10 points with 11:26 remaining. Potsdam responded when Kmiecinski converted on a pair of baskets and a Briedis three pointer decreased the deficit to three at the 8:53 mark. Amanda Roberts halted the Bears charge with 6:34 left in the half with a layup to spark a 10-0 run for the Saints. St. Lawrence was able to maintain the lead and hold off Potsdam to win, 71-48.

St. Lawrence shot 58% from the floor and grabbed 34 boards to Potsdam's 26. Briedis finished with 10 points. Kmiecinski and sophomore forward Bailey Weigel each added eight points, respectively.

Sophomore guard Kara McDuffee led the Saints with 20 points and six steals. Cady and Kelly Legg each tallied 16 points.
