Greensboro Women's Basketball Handles Barber-Scotia 74-48

The Pride women's basketball team picked up a 74-48 road win over Barber-Scotia on Tuesday night.

Greensboro raced out to a 20-2 lead and took a 34-19 lead into the break. The Pride led by as many as 34 points in the second half.

Bianca Richburg recorded her sixth straight double-double with a game high 21 points and 12 rebounds.  Chevena Pickard narrowly missed adding a double-double, finishing with 15 points and nine rebounds.  

Jena Cabe contributed nine points and seven boards, while Alicia Burr chipped in with nine points and seven rebounds.

Greensboro shot 40% from the field and limited the Sabers to 21.1% shooting.  The Pride held a 63-49 advantage on the boards.

"We put some new things in defensively in practice and I was pleased with the way we executed," said head coach Randy Tuggle.  "Everyone played well, especially considering that we now have a break in the schedule.  I am very excited about the new things we implented going into the break.  I would also like to wish all Pride fans a Happy Holidays"

The Pride improve to 5-2 on the season and will next be in action on January 2 in a recontinuance of a postponed road game at Mary Baldwin.
