FROSTBURG, Md. – Frostburg State made a couple of charges in the second half, but couldn't take control and Shenandoah outlasted the hosts for a 59-48 victory in non-conference women's basketball action, Tuesday.

The Bobcats (2-4) erased a pair of double-digit deficits in the second half and challenged the visiting Hornets (2-6) until the final horn.

Senior Stephanie Straka hit a layup at 12:50 that capped an 11-2 run as FSU trailed by just two 37-35. Nearly seven minutes later, junior Elaina Hummel grabbed an offensive rebound and made a layup that capped an 8-2 run that brought the Bobcats to within four, 49-45, with just 5:57 to play.
