HOBOKEN, N.J. – Junior guard Floriana Borova (Cresskill, N.J./Cresskill) poured in a career-high 30 points and the No. 25 William Paterson women's basketball team (3-1) earned a 65-51 victory at Stevens (3-1) Nov. 24.

Borova added eight rebounds, four assists and eight steals, while junior forward Dana Jeter (Hamilton, N.J./Steinert) contributed a double-double with 12 tallies, 11 rebounds, four assists and seven steals.  Sophomore forward Ashley Marfo (Bergenfield, N.J./Bergenfield) finished with eight points and five boards, and freshmen Shakira Negron (Paterson, N.J./Immaculate Conception) and Brittany Harden (Millville, N.J./Sacred Heart) chipped in six rebounds each.

Holding just a 32-29 lead at the break, the Pioneers scored five of the first seven points of the second half (37-31, 18:10), but the Ducks battled back to forge three ties during the game's next nine minutes.  Knotted at 44-44 with 9:09 to play, Borova jump-started WP with back-to-back baskets, and after a Stevens three-pointer, the Pioneers went on a 13-0 run to build a 67-41 advantage with 4:32 on the clock.

WP did most of its damage by forcing 28 Duck miscues, outscoring Stevens 18-2 off turnovers.

Dylan Krause led the Ducks with 14 points, and Maggie Kowalska pulled down 18 rebounds.

William Paterson will host Montclair State Wednesday, Nov. 28, at 6:00 p.m.
