Irving, Texas - The Tiger women's basketball team lost an 83-77 game at the University of Dallas on Friday evening, opening the final weekend of the regular season.

With the loss, Trinity fell to 9-15 on the season, and 7-8 in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play. 

Trinity scored the first two baskets, and led by six points less than five minutes into the game.  After Dallas battled back to take a brief lead, the Tigers again took control to take a 30-22 lead with 8:38 remaining until halftime.

The Crusaders used a 15-4 run over the next several minutes to go up 37-34 with just 90 seconds to go, and took a 39-37 lead into the break.

The second half was a back-and-forth battle most of the time, with neither team leading by more than six points until the very end.  The Tigers held a slim 67-66 lead with 7:39 left in the game, but Dallas scored five straight points to take the lead for good.

Trinity cut it to one (74-73) with just over five minutes left, but the Tigers hit just 1-9 from the field and 2-5 from the line for the rest of the game.  Dallas, meanwhile, hit 8-12 from the line during that time, outscoring Trinity 10-4 overall.

Hannah Coley led three Trinity players in double figures with 20 points on the night, connecting on 6-14 field goals and 6-6 free throws.  She also collected four rebounds, four assists, and two steals, but missed the final 1:44 of the game after fouling out.

Hannah Gulley hit 4-4 from the field and 3-3 three-point attempts to score 11 points off the bench for the Tigers.  Murphy Burns was held to just 5-18 shooting, finishing with 11 points overall.  Burns did grab five rebounds and hand out a team-best five assists.

Libby Kruse led the Tigers with 11 rebounds to go with her seven points, while Alison Salmon scored nine points off the bench.  Anne Waidelich had five points and six boards, while Taylor Hollins scored six points and grabbed four rebounds.

Kylie Yoshimura led all players with 33 points for Dallas, connecting on 10-16 from the floor, and 10-14 from the foul line.  She also handed out seven assists and grabbed three steals.

The Tigers are currently third in the SCAC West Division standings, with just one game left to play before next weekend's SCAC Tournament.  Trinity will conclude the regular season tomorrow afternoon at Austin College.
