The Baruch College Bearcats defeated the Cardinals of York College, 105-47, in a CUNYAC road contest played on Friday night in Jamaica, New York.

Eight different players scored at least six points to enable the visiting Bearcats to record their third consecutive victory to improve to 11-8 overall and 6-2 in CUNYAC. The Cardinals drop to 1-16 overall and 1-6 in CUNYAC.


Folashade Akindeled the Bearcats in scoring with a double-double of 20 points and 12 rebounds. Francess Henrynotched a career-high with 16 points and four assists.

Alyscia Jordantotaled a near double-double with 10 points, nine rebounds and six blocked shots. The team bench scored 65 total points this evening.

Joanna Josama led the Cardinals with a double of 12 points and 10 rebounds.

Baruch will return to action on Monday, January 30, with a 7:00 pm non-conference contest at Mount St. Mary College in Newburgh, New York. The Blue Knights from the Skyline Conference currently own a record of 15-2 overall and 7-0 in their conference.
