PASADENA, Calif. – A steady effort from start to finish gave the Earlham women's basketball team a 102-35 win over Caltech on Tuesday afternoon at the Braun Athletic Center.

Earlham (3-8) scored the first eight points of the game and continued to grow their lead to as large as 36 in the opening half in taking a 53-18 advantage at the halftime buzzer.

During the opening frame, the Quakers converted on 23 of their 46 (50 percent) field goal attempts in building their lead. The visitors inside presence played a role in their success as they posted a plus-20 rebounding edge which helped them hold a 20-0 scoring margin in second chance points.

The second half story was similar as Earlham converted 55.3 percent (21-of-38) of their shots in taking the win. The Quakers concluded the game with a 59-26 rebounding advantage. For the game, Earlham scored 60 of their points and held a 27-8 advantage in second chance scoring.

Earlham placed 12 players in the scoring column led by JaLissa Watt's 22-point performance off the bench. Danielle Altman also came off the bench to chip in a 15-point effort.

Caltech (0-8) was led in scoring by senior Teri Juarez. The forward scored a season high 16 points while grabbing a team best eight rebounds in 36 minutes of action. Marlyn Moore chipped in an 11-point effort.
