New York, NY- The Lady Cougars fell to Hunter College 90-35 on Wednesday January 18, 2012 at Hunter College. The Hawks improved their record to 5-10 Overall and 4-1 CUNYAC while the Lady Cougars dropped to 2-14 Overall and 0-5 CUNYAC.

Hunter College led wire to wire. The Hawks opened the game on a 15-0 run. Chantal Biscette made the 1st basket for MEC 4 minutes in. MEC was outscored 55-19 in the half. The Lady Cougars shot 23.3% from the field in the half, compared to Hunter's 54.5%. Both teams shot 60% or greater from the free throw line.

MEC in the loss was led from Senior Forward Chantal Biscette. Biscette scored 18pts, grabbed 13 rebounds, tallied an assist and a steal. Fellow classmate, Yvanna Jack scored 11pts, grabbed 10 rebounds. Jack also recorded 2 steals.

Hunter was led from Megan McKenna with 18pts. McKenna reached her 1,000pt in the 1st half. Kristen Markoe added 18pts and Nicole Lenard scored 14pts.

The Lady Cougars will be back in action in search of their first victory in conference and in this calendar year, when they take on the CCNY Beavers at MEC. Game time is set for 6pm.
